LearningMatters expands its online resource library

LearningMatters expanded its online resource library on February 10th with three major new additions: a 400-entry Business Encyclopedia, a Reading Room with management book previews, and corporate case studies. The platform now offers over 1000 self-development activities accessible via instant download for individual or corporate subscription.

From 10th February, learningMatters.com features three major new resources for corporate learners.   In addition to the existing library of over 1000 Self-development, Training and Audit Activities, Echelon have teamed up with Thomson Learning to offer learners:

• free access to a Business Encyclopedia with 400 entries ranging from ‘accounting’ to ‘zaibatsu’
• free access to a Reading Room containing Previews of a range of highly recommended management books
• a suite of corporate Case Studies on subjects such as managing risk, organizational behaviour

The principles of just-in-time use remain the same – select your activity, pop it in your shopping basket, check out via either credit card or corporate password and your activity arrives via e-mail on your desk in a couple of minutes.   Since the New Year companies have also taken to subscribing to the site and attaching it to their intranets – an instantaneous electronic learning resource centre !
