Editor's note
==============

With the conclusions of the select committee report into ILAs
concluding that 'without a quality threshold for providers, the
ILA was a disaster waiting to happen', the importance of
accreditation and evaluation for training professionals has never
been as clear. Demonstrating the importance of and effectiveness
of training in the workplace is often crucial to retain not only
funding, but respectability these days.

We'll be looking to explore these issues further as part of our
focus on 'adding value' at the Training Solutions show next
month - do come along and share your views with our speakers and
other members.. To register to attend any of the free sessions
on offer, or find out more about the show itself, see

Any Answers
-----------
A big thank you to all those members who've offered their advice
and expertise since the beginning of the year - this week, the
number of questions reached the 1,000 mark!
https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/community/anyanswers/index.html

A selection from this week's questions:

- I've come across many examples of statistics about how much
you remember if you see it, hear and see it, hear see and do it
etc., but there's never a source or a definitive number. Does
anyone know where this research originally came from?, asks Clive
Hook
https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/item/79686/728

- Does anyone have experience of overcoming the resistance that
senior managers have to being trained?, asks Richard Rogers
https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/item/79622/728

- I am keen to enhance my flipcharts in terms of impact,
interest and 'rememberability'. Can anyone suggest a book or
course to help?, asks Jo Unwin
https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/item/79440/728

Thanks to Pamela Cowen, William Chadwick and Helen Palmer, who
were among those sharing the benefit of their expertise with
other members this week.
