October sees the last of the main HRD conference and exhibitions 
of the year, with the CIPD National Conference at Harrogate 
towards the end of the month, and the World of Learning 
Conference and Exhibition, or WOLCE, at the NEC this Tuesday and 
Wednesday.  As ever, we’ll be bringing you the latest news and 
views and a few exclusive interviews from both events. 
We’ll also be looking ahead to what the conference year in 2003 
holds in the coming weeks.  Will there be new shows emerging, 
will the existing conferences be bigger and better or smaller and
