Leslie Rae has been a contributor of articles and publication reviews to Training Officer/Journal since the early 1980s and in addition is an author, of international repute, of management and training books since 1983, now with more than 30 books published internationally, some of which run into their third editions and many of which have been published or translated in India, Indonesia, Sweden, the Netherlands, USA and Spain.
He is the Principal Associate for Ellray Associates, an organization he founded in 1980 and has been involved in consultancy and training activities in a wide range of subjects, and with a wide range of organizations, in management skills and trainer training skills. In his working career he has been involved in personnel work, career advising, soldiering, photography, government service, internal and external consultancy, training, training management, teaching and as good a living as he could afford!
He is currently an active member of and contributor to the Fenman UKHRD Forum, LearningBuzz, TrainingZone and the American TRDEV-L Forum. His particular interests are the validation and evaluation of training, trainer training, presentation skills, learning skills, the use of experiential activities in training, and golf.
