The Government has announced plans to ensure that strategic lifelong learning partnerships are in place across the country during 1999.
Following the announcement on 26 November by the Rt. Hon. David Blunkett, MP, Secretary of State for Education and Employment, the DfEE has circulated widely its Lifelong Learning Partnerships Remit.
The proposals include detailed responsibilities for co-ordinating local action and developing local targets.
