Following the untimely and tragic death of Donald Dewar MP, MSP and Scotland's First Minister, there is inevitable speculation as to his likely successor in this leadership role for Scotland.
The initial front-runner is the acting leader of the Labour Party in Scotland, Henry McLeish, whose present role is 'Minister for Enterprise and Lifelong Learning'. It would be interesting to see how someone who has held down this portfolio successfully would then promote some of these initiatives from the role of First Minister.
