LSC to Recruit a New Chair

default-16x9

The Learning and Skills Council is starting its search for a new chair to replace current incumbent Bryan Sanderson.

Mr Sanderson's term of office is due to end in summer.

He said the time was right for the organisation to begin to look for his successor in order to ensure that momentum was not lost.

Mr Sanderson, who has held the chair since 2000, will continue to be actively involved in the LSC over the coming six months.

Education Secretary Charles Clarke said: "Bryan has helped to build strong partnerships across the learning and skills sector and with employers. His successor will be able to build on his well laid foundations."

The DfES will advertise the post in the national press at the start of next month.
