Management Training Matrix

default-16x9

Hi I am looking for samples of a training matrix detailing the various management skills.
The basis of this will be to highlight the progression development needs for lower and middle management
Hope someone out there can help and save me reinventing the wheel.
Thanks
Eric Nichols

I’m not convinced it’s that easy. Do you have a competence framework of any kind? What industry/ function are you thinking about? What direction does your company/ function need to go in and how will L&D support it? etc. I would be VERY reluctant to parachute a ‘generic’ training framework into another situation even with good answers to such questions. Instead I would start with what people need – it’s more work to start with, but will deliver better value. Good luck.

  2. Try Lominger.com for the information you require.
    Hi Eric,

Research has been done on this.

I work with the Lominger Architect Suite of products and they have produced research on competencies required at each level of business. The specific piece of information you are looking for is on their “career flow research” placemat which can be found here http://www.lominger.com/la_placemat.php#Link895996C0

I am sure there are other models around also.

Regards from a warm Spain, Andi
