I am currently developing a workshop on managing people and would like to open the day with a short story around the benefits of managing people. Has anyone come across any worth while stories? I have read plenty on the internet though I have found one yet thats communicates the benfits of managing people effectively.

TED is full of inspirational story tellers…just search for the keywords you are looking for.
Most are 20 mins so you will have to stop start and discuss every few minutes but thats a good thing!

A story by Covey
Stephen Covey has a good story towards the end of his book "7 Habits of highly effective people" on good management and how it can come to completly change the nature of a business and how in turn customers respond to this. You can easily use it as an inspiring story in your courses. His story is quite powerful.
