Hi Threecats
Not sure where you are going with this?
You have decided the time of the session before you know what you are doing…
You dcided that you need “acivities” that are “interactive and fun” before you know what the outcomes of the session are…
It doesn’t really work like this…you need to work backwards not forwards.

saying no
dear threecats
I’ll presume that you have already decided your desired outcomes but have simply recognised that in the interests of brevity you don’t need to air them here. I’ll also presume that you have gone for bite-sized solutions because of sensible commercial concerns that you again don’t need to detail on this forum.
Though not an activity as such there is a free resource on http://www.coach-and-courses.com in the downloadable resources page that relates to "saying no" (it is entitled "yeah, but no, but yeah") there is also another under the heading of "a little resource that can help with assertiveness and time management/productivity". You are free to use either of these to set role plays for your people or the latter as a discussion point…..
I hope this helps, if it does please do leave a comment in the guest book on the site.
My recently published book, "Getting Things Done" (http://www.businesssecrets.net) also has quite a lot of material on the subject. (sorry this is a direct advert but since I don’t get royalties for it I think I can excuse myself!)

Influencing upwards roleplays
Hello Three Cats
We have a pair of role plays on influencing the boss you may want to use/ adapt. The 1st role play is endeavouring to reverse a decision made by the boss about staffing in the department. The second is about influencing to get more development time from the boss. Both require different styles to influence successfully and could be used as part of a bite sized training session.
Feel free to download: go to http://www.abctrainingsolutions.biz; roll mouse over top toolbar item: ‘Free Trainer Stuff’ and select ‘Influencing skills’ from drop down menu. The role plays appear towards the bottom as ‘Skill practice: Managing the boss’.
Good luck.
Happy days!
