Matt Somers


I'm Matt Somers and I'd like to take this opportunity to explain a little about our company.

We are a people development consultancy with a difference:

We see people in terms of their future potential not their past performance
We believe that coaching offers the best way for releasing potential but that this must then be focused on producing results. We make no apologies for insisting that coaching be linked with business performance
We are mainly interested in finding coaches within organisations so that you build these skills in house and do not become dependent on an external coach

Prior to founding Peak, I had been running a successful training consultancy for many years and had delivered sessions on subjects such as Time Management and Presentation Skills to all sorts of managers from all sorts of organisations and sectors.

However I noticed that more and more it was when we applied coaching techniques on these sessions, and allowed the participants to concentrate on raising their levels of self-awareness and becoming responsible for their own learning, that real results began to happen.

We began a period of heavy research into effective coaching and designed our core programme Achieving Peak Performance as a result.

It is our intention to provide a means whereby anyone in an organisation who needs to achieve results through others can come to us to learn about and become skilled in the art of coaching.
