Details : Matthew Haggis offers independent support to individuals, organisations, teams and groups who are seeking to achieve real and better results. Using highly developed facilitation and group process skills coupled with a broad understanding of business and social issues, he provides a creative and fresh approach to personal and organisational development. His experience is especially relevant where senior members of large, diverse groups need support to develop or achieve meaningful learning.

Matthew spent seven years as a Programme Director with Common Purpose, the UK-wide independent civic education programme for emerging leaders from all sectors. Planning, delivering and facilitating the Edinburgh programme gave him direct and candid experience of organisations and issues across the private, public, voluntary and community sectors, as well as an extensive and sophisticated network of senior people.

Prior to joining Common Purpose, he had been involved in career and business consultancy, leisure management and scientific publishing. He holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Materials Science from Sussex University.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts, a member of the Scottish Advisory Board of Community Service Volunteers, a member of the Management Committee of Scottish Community Foundation's Millennium Awards Programme for Youth, an Associate Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and a member of Senscot, the social entrepreneurs network in Scotland.
