The Swedish Telecommunications company Ericsson and Microsoft have formally launched a mobile e-mail-services joint venture.
This venture called, Ericsson Microsoft Mobile Venture will be 70% owned by Ericsson and 30% by Microsoft will have products that will support mobile e-mail and personal information management tools through existing mobile networks world-wide.
This will also include co-operation on the use of Microsoft's Mobile Explorer browser on Ericsson phone, use of the Ericsson's Wireless Application Protcol (WAP) technology for Microsoft products and the distribution of Microsofts Outlook software with some of the Ericsson phones.
