Microsoft has won the 'Employer of the Future Award' from webzine mother@work.
Theresa McHenry, head of leadership and development at Microsoft, was presented with the accolade by Fiona Cannon, head of equality and diversity for the Lloyds TSB Group and member of the CBI’s equal opportunities panel.
McHenry said the awards are a great way to showcase some of the most successful women working in business. "Microsoft is committed to creating a family friendly working environment where our employees can deliver their best results. For us, our role as an employer is simple – to create an innovative, rich, and flexible working culture for talented people to achieve outstanding work."
mother@work founder and editor Denise Tyler said: "The large number of high quality entries to the Employer of the Future category has once again shown that employers are finding new ways to give employees the flexibility they need to combine work and family life without impacting the business."
She added: "We hope that in acknowledging the best practises in the workplace today, with respect to working mothers, we can show others how family friendly policies need not be to the detriment of business."
