Ever since Bill Gates issued a memo about trustworthy computing, questions have been raised with regards to whether Microsoft will be adding a security certification. The answer is simply no.

In recent weeks there has been a lot of talk about security in the industry, which according to Anne McSweeney (Microsoft’s director of certification skills and assessment) may lead certifications to place more emphasis on security issues. However Microsoft officials state there are enough certifications at the moment without adding to them.

Currently there are two security focused exams: Designing Security for a Windows 2000 Network (70-220) and Installing, Configuring, and Administering Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 (70-227).
