Millions pledged to help the USA

default-16x9

Donations in their millions have been flooding in from corporate giants to help the USA recover from its terrorist attack.

Companies such as Microsoft, Cisco and Spring have given very generous donations to help rebuild the lives that have been affected by this outrageous attack and help the recovery effort.

The September 11th Fund will receive half of Microsoft’s $10 million donation; the remainder will be used to help the volunteers’ hours and to finance the recovery effort.

Non-profit organisations, such as the Red Cross, will receive Cisco’s donation of $6 million. Mayor Rudolph Giuliani will receive a donation of $10 million from General Electrics, which will be for the families of emergency workers presumed dead.

Spring has given $500,000 the Red Cross as well offering wireless phones for disaster workers. Motorola has shipped over essential equipment, such as base stations and mobile phones, to both New York and Washington to help in the efforts.

Donations can be made either online at www.uwnyc.org or in care of the United Way September 11th Fund at 2 Park Avenue, New York, NY, 10016
