Mind Mapping

default-16x9

A new magazine Learning Technologies have commissioned me to write a series of articles on the subject of 'learning'. The first two on Accelerated Learning and Learning Styles, are in print but I now need some help on the third article which will be about Mind Mapping.

I would appreciate any views and comments about Mind Mapping in particular

Have you been shown how to use mind maps and do you still use the technique?

Who showed you and how long ago.

Did any of you learn to use them at school/college/university? Was Mind Mapping part of the school/college/university schedule or was it 'an aside'?

Have you read any books on the subject and if so what which one(s) was it and what did you think? Please rank it out of10 where 10 is excellent and 1 is a laxative.

Have any used Mind Mapping software? If so what do you think of it? What version did/do you use?

I am happy to include examples and comments from readers in the article but please give me permission, or otherwise, to quote in any reply.
