Montpellier Consultancy and Training (MCT) and John Matchett Limited (JML) have agreed to work together in the promotion of the SkillScape Competence Manager system and the Metrix Organisational Performance Diagnostic (OPD) system.
MCT was launched in 1999 in Cheltenham, and has grown to a team of over 50 consultants and trainers who specialise in the delivery of tailored advice and support across the areas of strategic, operational and interpersonal skills development. Specialist MCT divisions include: consultancy, training, recruitment, open learning, quality, health & safety, employment law and IT.
John Matchett Limited has been offering SkillScape since early 2000, and has sold the product into distribution, retail, financial and IT industries. SkillScape is a privately owned company with headquarters in Canada.
SkillScape is an internet based application that helps employers focus the skills of their people on to the priority areas of the business. The SkillScape Starter Skills Dictionary contains over 9.000 skill definitions, giving users a flying start for competency management. As well as having a partnership with JML, SkillScape’s other strategic relationships include Oracle, PeopleSoft and Arthur Andersen – Virtual Learning Network.

Metrix OPD utilises international quality standards to benchmark organisational performance. It can provide feedback and comparisons from the CEO through to Employees and at departmental, divisional, site, national and international levels.
OPD identifies areas for improvement and can be used continuously to evaluate the impact of activity introduced to address them. It is flexible in that the information gathering process can be completed via the internet or through paper based approaches. OPD is being utilised in the IT, legal, healthcare, aerospace, retail, manufacturing, contract services and distribution sectors.
