The Times has today reported that a further cut in jobs is expected to be announced by the steel giant Corus by the end of the week.

The report says that upto 1,600 jobs are expected to go at plants in South Wales.

If the redundancies go ahead as expected it brings the total of jobs lost within Corus in the last two months to 4,000.
