My monday morning two cents…

default-16x9

The expectation builds for TrainingZone Live, and barely a week goes by where we don't have a new offer on the table for the audience or someone else hasn't confirmed another great session. Plenty of info about this event is here, with a bit more information here too. It was an unhectic week last week here in the office, in that I didn't have to leave for another city to do some filming or go for any meetings so it has been nice to be able to get down and graft out a few ideas for the next few months on site, be it the overall editorial direction or considering implementation of new technological ideas or discussing how business is going in the TZ shop. Or maybe it's been good to just watch a few TED videos for inspiration.

I'm off to Cornwall the week after next so this next few days is going to be doubly productive as I need to make sure that the site is in good shape and able to survive without my, er, expert guidance. I'm sure it'll be fine. It'll be left in the ultra-capable hands of Charlie Duff, editor of our sister site HRzone.co.uk, so any queries can be directed to her.

There are myriad weird and wonderful pieces coming up over the next fortnight; we have videos, interviews, how-to guides, competitions, tips and tricks, and grievances to be aired. This is what the TrainingZone community is all about. And when I come to leave I'm going to miss it.

To finish this post on a more philosophical note, I'm going to try hard to appreciate the things I take for granted. Because, as the last few days have proved, you can lose everything and not be able to do a single thing about it.
