I've been asked to run a task, game, activity or exercise for around 40 Sales reps at their January Sales conference. I want to make it a bit of fun but obviously leave them with a message - the importance of networking, as this is the theme of part of the conference.
Has anyone got any ideas that they are willing to share with me or send to me at my email address (colin.faulkner@molnlycke.net).
Many Thanks in advance

Networking Exercises
Hello Colin
There are two networking exercises I use which seem to work at getting the message across.
First, write out a list of around 10-15 questions like “who plays a musical instrument”. Give each delegate a copy and ask them to go around the room and get two signatures for each question – no-one must sign more than 2 categories though. I can let you have a full list if you email me.
Second, depending on the organisation – choose key players in the organisation (MD, etc, you need about 10 to duplicate) and write the names on pieces of paper. Give each delegate a folded piece of paper: they need to go around the room questionning delegates to find out who they are and list how many they find. It gets them talking to other people.
Good luck!

What exactly do you mean?
We specialise in training people in networking skills, so I’m sure I could help. But do you mean ice-breakers, or exercises which help people understand how to establish rapport with other people. Not quite the same thing….
