The Marketing and Sales Standards Setting Body (MSSSB) is to launch the national standards in Marketing, Marketing Communications and Sales on 5 September 2006 at The Royal Society of Arts in London.
The launch will mark the culmination of a two-year project backed by government funding to establish comprehensive national marketing/marketing communications and sales standards.
Chahid Fourali, head of MSSSB, said: “The co-operation of everyone involved in marketing/marketing communications and sales will ensure that we can disseminate these world-class professional benchmarks to maximise professional practise and to influence government, education providers and all those working in these areas.”
The standards project was undertaken by the MSSSB following an earlier project that reviewed the size, scope and profile of the marketing/marketing communications and sales profession.
Among other findings this showed that these two professions are amongst the fastest growing professional groups with 1.25 million participants.
