SME's in London can apply for a grant of up to £1,000 for staff training.

The scheme, run by AddMore, is funded by the London Learning and Skills Councils and provided by Business Link for London, and Reed in Partnership.

The programme offers funding in two key areas:
* Skills and training: London firms with between 2 and 249 employees can access up to £1,000 to develop the skills of their staff.
* Leadership and management: London firms with between 20 and 249 employees, can receive funds up to £1,000 for training and development of their managers, including coaching and mentoring.

AddMore provides an initial assessment of a company's training needs, a company training and development plan and free advice on the most relevant training resources and subsidies available to businesses.

It also offers a free workshop and online help with completing the Investors in People standard.

Tony Nelson, Director of Skills and Workforce, Learning and Skills Council London Central, said: "As a leading global city we can no longer ignore the significant productivity gap that separates us from our international competitors. AddMore responds to this issue by providing an opportunity for employers to access flexible, high quality training."
