A new learning initiative is being launched today by Bill Rammell, the Minister for Lifelong Learning, Further and Higher Education and the Southern and Eastern region unionlearn.
The Beds and Herts Trade Union Learning Forum (BHTULF) covers Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and brings together all the major organisations involved in skills and training in the two counties.
BHTULF includes trade unions, employers, training providers, Learning and Skills Councils and Sector Skills Councils.
The inaugural meeting will discuss how trade unions and their members and employers can benefit from Train to Gain, the Government’s new skills initiative.
BHTULF aims to provide a forum where all parties can engage in the workplace learning agenda and seek solutions for tackling the skills crisis that is predicted for the UK.
