New web services for e-learning

default-16x9

The Electronic Training Village at Cedefop is delighted to announce the launching of new web services devoted to elearning.

The aim of these pages is to build a knowledge base on elearning for all Training professionals and to develop a community of best practice as we assimilate technology into the world of vocational education and training.

The pages are under permanent construction and have been built in a way to encourage all users to share and exchange information. If you participated in the recent survey on technology supported learning, (and the response was very high), you might be interested in the results; the report, with discussion links, is featured in the new pages under surveys.

As training professionals, we are participating in the development of a new global industry - elearning. It is enormously exciting and challenging. But it is also important that we use this opportunity to share our experiences rapidly and generously. If elearning is to make a truly positive contribution to the development of economic and social life in Europe, we, as professionals, need to ensure that we find ways to guarantee the benefits will be inclusive for all citizens and contribute to a better
society for all of us.

These new elearning services will explore information about elearning products, services, practice and research in a way that makes the information accessible to all practitioners, not just those who are expert in new technologies or technology based training. So, please contribute your information about your research, new applications, products and services and views and comments.

I hope you will join this community of practice and learn from and contribute to these pages.
