New website on adult/continuing learning

default-16x9

I am writing to introduce myself and my Adult/Continuing Education site. I would also like to request URL submissions for my site.

My name is Kimeiko Hotta Dover, and I am the About.com Guide to Adult/Continuing Education at http://adulted.about.com. I have ten years of teaching and training experience, and I specialize in workforce/workplace basic skills training.

My Adult/Continuing Education site went "live" in November, 1999. The site features articles, netlinks, a chat room, a forum, polls, and a free weekly newsletter.

The current feature reports on a U.S. Department of Education report indicating that participation in adult education is prevalent and increasing:

Netlink categories include adult learning theory, coaching, course finders (includes web sites to promote your services for free), education events, facilitation, icebreakers, instructional design, learning activities, learning disabilities, learning materials, learning styles,
mentoring, professional associations, professional development, publications, self-directed learning, studies and statistics, training needs assessment, workplace basic skills and more... For a complete list of netlink categories, see http://adulted.about.com/mlibrary.htm

Adult learners and educators can meet to exchange information and opinions in the chat room, forum and polls. Learn about the chat room at http://adulted.about.com/mpchat.htm
forum
http://adulted.about.com/mpboards.htm
and site polls at http://adulted.about.com/library/blpolls.htm

The Adult/Continuing Education site also has a free weekly newsletter, Lifelong Learning. You can read the current issue and subscribe at http://adulted.about.com/library/blnewsletter.htm

If you have web-based information of interest to the adult/continuing education community that does not presently appear on my site, I invite you to send your URL and a site description directly to me at .
It is helpful if you can suggest an appropriate netlink category to place your site; for example, "I would
like to have my site considered for the Training & Development netlink category at http://adulted.about.com/msubtraining.htm"

I look forward to hearing from you!
