Sift is the leading developer of online professional communities in the UK. You should look through the Sift Ltd site, and also check out some of our other communities including AccountingWeb, LawZone and BusinessZone. We have plans to launch new communities and new interactive features across our communities throughout this year.

TrainingZone is the largest and most interactive UK-based website focusing on the training and HRD market. We already rank in the top 100 sites for advertising and promotion purposes (New Media Age, 20 January 2000). There are ambitious plans for development and growth throughout this year and our new Editor will be a key player in making this happen.

Practical stuff
Interested? Good. Now for the detail.

Our new Editor will work from our modern offices in central Bristol. Some staff do work remotely, but for this post we require someone who can be present in the office several days each week.

It's a hectic but flexible working environment. The staff team has grown from 15 to 45 in the past year and we're regularly recruiting additional staff. We need team members who can do the job and deliver! In return, we provide several rewards for our staff. There will also be plenty of opportunities to learn about other aspects of an internet business including online learning, e-commerce, design, marketing, and the latest technology.

Hours: Our starting point is to find someone able to work full-time, but we're very open to proposals for part-time or job-share arrangements if you want to put them forward.

Salary: It will be good - and better than you're doing at present! We also offer stock options (and you can read the newspapers to see what's happening to internet stocks).

Going to the next stage
Still interested? Great. OK, this is what to do:

- Make sure you've looked right through the TrainingZone website

- Email to tpickles@trainingzone.co.uk and to dgilroy@sift.co.uk with (1) your CV, (2) a statement about what you can contribute to TrainingZone's development and growth, (3) details of your present salary or fee-income and benefits.

- Send a printed copy of your application to: David Gilroy, Sift Ltd, 100 Victoria Street, Bristol BS1 6HZ

Queries: Email tpickles@trainingzone.co.uk, or, if necessary, phone on 017687 74135

Deadline: No later than 18 February 2000
