NHS Trainers don’t know what they’re missing

default-16x9

In September 1999, the NHS Information Authority tested and selected IT training materials from SanScrip to enable trainers throughout the NHS to train staff in the use of Windows and Microsoft PC applications. More than six months later, most NHS organisations appear to be unaware of this facility.

The licencing arrangement with SanScrip allows all NHS organisations throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland unlimited use of the materials which are openly available via the NHSnet internal communications system. Files can be downloaded in Word format for local use and customisation.

David Barker of Sanscrip commented "It seems such a pity that large parts of the NHS are unaware of these resources. There are IT trainers in the NHS who are wasting time writing their own materials when these are already available."

NHS trainers can freely access and use the materials on the NHSnet at http://nww.gpnet.nhsia.nhs.uk/gpnet.asp
