Office 2000 Trainers in East Cheshire area

default-16x9

A2Z Computer Services has been contracted to provide training for a rollout of Windows 2000 and Office 2000 for a customer in East Cheshire, between February 2001 and July 2001.

We are looking for locally-based trainers, within easy daily commuting distance of East Cheshire, to work 2 days per week on this project. The rate will be £200 / day, inclusive of all expenses.

Initial mandatory training for all 4000 users will comprise a one-day conversion course (hands-on to groups of about 8 people) in Windows and Outlook 2000. This will be carried out while their PCs are upgraded, and the plan is to convert 50 people each day, Monday - Thursday. So we will be running 6 or 7 concurrent training sessions each day Monday to Thursday.

In addition, on alternate days we will be running optional presentations / demonstrations of the core Office 2000 applications (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) to groups of up to 80 people. Only one of these will run on any day and each session will focus on changes to one of the three core applications. These sessions, which will not be hands-on, will last for 2 hours and will be delivered by a member of the training team.

We are also providing 2 floor walkers each day, one at each of the two major sites in Cheshire. These will also be taken from the training team, so that each member of the team will be required to get involved in all three of these activities.

Fridays are for contingency Windows / Outlook sessions if necessary. We will also be running hands-on conversion courses on Fridays for the non-core products (Access, FrontPage, Project) and business-critical intermediate / advanced training in any of the applications as required. We will also run drop-in sessions and provide desk side support on Fridays, again utilising the training team.

The skills we're seeking are:
- Good knowledge of Windows 2000
- Good knowledge of Outlook 2000
- Good knowledge of at least 2 of the core Office 2000 products
- If possible good knowledge of at least 1 of the non-core products, but this isn't essential

I repeat that local trainers only should submit their CVs for this project.

If you're interested in these positions, please submit the following information to [email protected]:

- Full detailed CV, including skill level in each of the MS Office products
- Profile in 280-330 words (if you're accepted as part of the team, this will be displayed on our website and sent out to customers in our information packs)
- Details of how you would tackle a "difficult topic" in your training. Choose your own topic, but I'd like to get a feel for your training style from your response
