Online Educa 2013: A storified round-up

Recently TrainingZone paid a visit to Online Educa, arguably the best elearning conference in the L&D industry, despite its skew towards education. Or perhaps because of it.

It's important to get out of your bubble every so often. That's how I feel about Online Educa. The breadth and scale of it is one thing, but another is the multicultural nature of it, and it's always fascinating hearing a training director from a German plastics company compare her challenges with a Saudi Arabian elearning marketing executive, for example.

Sometimes, in publishing at least, the L&D experience gets reduced to simple lines of text, zeroes and ones. Rich media content can bring these insights and issues to life, but events are the perfect place to re-energise and rediscover your passion for L&D (if you'd lost it, of course). And what better way to analyse your situation than have someone from a completely different walk of life take a look at it with fresh, critical eyes. Enter Online Educa, now in its 19th year and a temporary midweek home to over 2000 delegates from 91 countries.

We decided to collate our experiences with Storify, so feast your eyes beneath.
