I recently posted a question on Any Answers because I was looking for a website that would help me to set up an online space for a group of managers within my organisation who are about to take part in an 18 month development programme. I was looking for a shared space that would support an online forum, group calendar, blog posts and video/ file hosting. I also wanted it to be private, password protected and (preferably) free. Somewhere they could access information and resources, indulge in some programme-related reflection and provide one another with support. I'd explored a couple of recommendation but wasn't optimistic that I'd be able to find a site that would do everything I wanted and was starting to look at sites that would offer individual functionally and then work out how to link them all together when I came across Shutteffly. From what I can make out, Shutterfly is primarly set up as an online photo-sharing site, but the ability to create groups within the site (mainly aimed at sports, schools and community groups I think) brings with it pretty much everything I have been looking for. I've set up a demo site to give you an idea of what I mean, you'll find it behind this link I'm still playing with all of the features but it allows for a lot of customisation and contains all of the basic features I was looking for at a price I'm prepared to pay (nothing!) If you're looking to create an online group or learning space you could do a lot worse. It even seems to outperform some of the paid-for products I looked at. Let me know what you think. Nigel

This has been a very useful 10 minutes to me, thank to you!
We have been looking for a similar resource and Shutterfly appears to fit the bill. We need to use it in a simlar way to you, and also to support geographically diverse sets of learners. I’ll be interested to keep in touch with your progress.
