We are looking at the possibility of fast-tracking work placements on ILM (Intermediate Labour Market Schemes across Greenwich via GLLaB (Greenwich Local Labour and Business). Is there a way of allowing them to complete NVQ type qualifications using the internet, conferencing, online cumulative assessment records, evidence portfiolios, etc. prior to internal then, external verification. The intention is to maximise retention on these schemes as they tend to be paper driven and prohibitively expensive for smaller training providers.

I currently aslo work with th OU that has pioneered online learning through CMC (computer mediated communication) and conferencing to generate student assignments to an adequate standard - has this been applied to the NVQ system in any respect?
