Starting this weekend, Orange are allowing their subscribers free unlimited WAP access from midnight Friday until midnight Sunday every weekend until the end of February 2001.
Orange have stated that this free access promotion is limited for now to personal use, but calls to WAP gateways other than their own will be charged at the normal rate. This offer is available on all WAP enabled pre-pay or contract phones, except Orange Value Promise users.
Breathe, another Internet Service Provider, also offering free WAP calls until the end of November appears to be pushing people towards the WAP market, however many people still seem to think that the service is very slow and too expensive.
