Using the Multi Level lists in Microsoft Word is probably the most misused feature in Word. In my experience people tend to type manual lists rather than using the built in feature. This causes problems for other users that may require to edit a list. Manual typed lists need manual editing; whereas the Multi level list feature automatically renumbers items throughout an entire document in seconds.
