Over the Rainbow

default-16x9

Ok then, who Dared to be...having read my last blog?

Which of you took 1 step closer to where they want to be?

Who decided to put it off a little bit longer until the time is right?

I know of at least one person who was daring and took part in a spinning class for the first time! The great thing is; it's not as scary anymore.

Well this week I'm getting all tuneful to emphasise my point about being daring!

Everybody is familiar with the song from the Wizard of Oz called 'Over the Rainbow'. In case you're not, here's a reminder;

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true

If happy little bluebirds fly
Above the rainbow
Why, oh why, can't I

Well the answer is...YOU can (as Danielle showed on Saturday night on the BBC, having never previously attended an audition!)

As I say to all my clients; "the only thing stopping you from achieving your dreams or goals is...YOU"

Once you know what the blockers are in your life, you can do 1 of 2 things. You can either remove the blockers or go around them. Either way it takes you one step closer to where you want to get to.

ABBA capture it perfectly in their song; 'I have a dream'

I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile

Whatever is helping you through your current reality (and job perhaps), let it shine a little brighter. I met Karin from Mummy's Yummys this morning and she is definitely working towards her dream. Her cakes are to die for!

Ask yourself: if you weren't doing what you're currently doing for a living, what would you be doing?

FACT: We all have a dream. How many of us share them?

Gabrielle gives further hope in her song; 'Dreams'

Dreams can come true
Look at me babe I'm with you
You know you gotta have hope
You know you gotta be strong

Dreams do require perseverance (that's why they are called dreams), and the realisation of achieving a dream makes it all the more satisfying at the end.

Go ahead and dream this week. Then go one step further and share that dream with the people you love. They'll support you all the way - I should know!

Have a great week dreaming away, and thank you all for helping me live my dream.

Regards

Jeff (The dreamer)
