In the footer I have entered Page of Pages, but when it prints, it ends up saying page 1 of 1
Page 2 of 2
Page 3 of 3 etc.
Is this a word bug, printer error, or something I can change in properities?
Any solutions
Please

page numbers
If you are using MS word then…..
Click the insert tab
click page numbers and take it from there.
the footer/header should be used for any notes that you wish to appear in that area (usually company name, address etc)
Page Numbers
I suspect that you have set both fields to display the current page number and you need to set the second field to the number of fields.
Not a Bug
You have asked it to display page of page and that’s what it is doing. If you just want it to display the page number alone, choose the option ‘insert page number’which is the first icon in the header and footer.
Hope this helps
Possible Word Bug
We had some issues with the page numbering (presuming as in your other responses, that you DO wish to have page number of number of pages and using the right field codes) – we found that our company logo was causing the funnies (nope, don’t know why!) but when we removed and reinserted the logo the numbering sorted itself out – oh the joys of Office XP…
An Ongoing Bug
In my experince Microsoft has never actually sorted out all the bugs on page numbers and footers. You’re right I’ve had page 1 of 1 etc. too.
I’ve been running Office 2003 beta for a while now and not actually had the courage to try this as yet. So I can’t say if it’s fixed in the soon to be released version or not I’m afraid.
