The Professional Associations Research Network are looking for volunteers to take part in an internet-based focus group on CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and the Internet. Details of the meeting are as follows:
Date: Wednesday 17th January 2001
Time: 3 - 6pm (Online discussions 4.30 - 6pm)
Venue: University of Bristol, Clifton, Bristol
We are looking for individuals to take part in this focus group, both in person and "virtually" via our online discussion area. The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the use of the Internet in lifelong learning/CPD, among representatives from a variety of professions. It is an opportunity to air your views and share your experiences. The findings will help contribute to a report to be presented to the Department for Education and Employment (a copy of which can be made available to participants who express an interest).
We are looking for individuals from all professions, and at any stage in their career (you must be a member of a professional body). We realise that for those of you who would like to take part in the Bristol discussions this will involve taking time away from your work place. We will therefore provide remuneration of £50 per person for those who participate in the face-to-face aspect of the event.
If you would like to find out more, please do not hesitate to call me on 0117 954 6026 or 07733 136101. If you are interested in taking part (either in person or online), we would very much appreciate a prompt response.
