A new report commissioned by the Institute of Personnel and Development summarises the key findings of IPD research into the impact of the Working Time Regulations on UK employers with more than 50 employees.

The IPD commissioned Abacus Research Limited to carry out a servey of GB businesses in order to fulfil the following broad objectives:

* To obtain an understanding of the impact of the Regulations on employers' behaviour and attitudes.

* To provide an overview for IPD members and others on the 'state of play' of the implementation of the Working Time Regulations in other organisations.
