Pitman Targets the Corporate Market

Pitman Training has set its sights on the corporate IT training market for 2004.

The company, which has become a household name in consumer training, already has a corporate client list that includes the likes of Sainsbury's and HSBC.

Michael Graham, managing director at Pitman Training, said: "We are in the hugely enviable position of having a brand name and reputation that is widely recognised and associated with quality, value and expertise.

"What we now need to do is to exploit this and align it with our corporate market focus, products and services".

The company, which was founded 167 years ago, has concentrated on IT training in recent years alongside its traditional office skills training and was the highest Top 50 entry in a tough and competitive 2003 IT training market

"In the last few years some of the bigger players have had to cut back, with companies the size of Infomatics going into administration leaving a lot of customers high and dry as a result," Mr Graham said. "The corporate training market needs the stability, quality, flexibility and expertise we offer."
