AMED – the developers network (Association for Management Education and Development) is a long established networking organisation of 1,500 professionals in people and organisation development with regional networks that meet throughout the UK. AMED has collaborated with the Salford University Graduate School of Management to offer a one year part-time PGC for members and non-members who wish to gain a qualification in people and organisational development.

Post Graduate Certificate In People & Organisational Development

Edinburgh ¨ London ¨ Manchester ¨ Inverness

- One activity a month over one year
- Local learning sets
- Whole group residentials
- Stand-alone or leads to an MSc
- No exams, assignment assessed

The programme is designed for:
- Line managers with responsibility for people development
- T&D professionals wanting to broaden their expertise and gain a relevant qualification
- T&D professionals without a degree interested in a route to an MSc

Based on local action learning sets and whole group residential workshops, the format gives the opportunity to learn from and with others across the country but without extensive travel time and costs. In 1999 learning sets met in Edinburgh, London and Manchester. Course Director Ian Hall BSc DMS MA in Management Learning, now lives in Glentruim and in 2000 will offer a learning set in the Inverness area.

Successful completion of the PGC gives automatic entry to the Salford University part-time MSc in People & Organisational Development, run on similar lines. An added advantage is that you can transfer to the MSc and need only do an extra 18 months instead of 2 years.
