interesting challenge because….
….most of these people are presenting on a topic about which they are passionate and about which the audience wants to hear.
The real challenge is to find a video of someone giving a rivetting presentation about a topic that is generally considered to be a bit yawn-inducing…..this tends to then demostrate the presentation skill without the underlying benefit of an interesting message. That means that the extra challenge is to find someone who has been successful in getting a potentially boring message across without using very expensive graphics/methods (eg Dan Pink's brilliant animations) but in a way that Chris from Accounts would actually have at his or her finger tips.
I shall keep my eyes open for an example!

Chris from accounts
Yes Chris from accounts does go on a bit Zzzzzz
Would be really useful if there were some videos that were 3 to 5 minutes long and complete, not just part of a longer presentation.

First I was appalled…..
…then I was gobsmacked….
…..then I was suspicious…….
…..then I was immensely relieved…..
….then I was appalled again…..
… because I have seen so many very senior people be almost as bad!
Garry that is brilliant! Thanks
Rus
Great viewing
Brilliant viewing Garry.
The scariest thing is that I have sat through far too many similar presentations.
Rus is so right the difficulty is maintaining interest in a subject that almost instinctively induces yawning.
Fantastic
This is great. Would really like to use more examples like this. Time to get searching I think.
TED Talks
I have found TED.com really good for individual presentations and some of them are as short as five minutes.
One I really like is by Ric Elias entitled "3 things I learned while my plane crashed"
http://www.ted.com/talks/ric_elias.html
Not only is it an inspirational presentation, but there are some great learning points to be taken about how to deliver a presentation.
Enjoy.
