Hi
I have developed a leadership workshop, which includes Primal Leadership (Goleman). I wonderd if anyone knew of a self analysis tool that I could use during the workshop, to identify the delegates preferred Primal Leadership style?
I have tried the Hay Group - but to no avail.
Your help and advice is very much appreciated.
Thanks
Paula

Primal Leadership v Neuroleadership
Hi Paula,
I was intrigued by your posting as I had not come across Primal Leadership before. So I looked it up and read Goleman’s HBR article. While I can’t give you an easy answer to your question, it struck me that there are strong links with neuroleadership and that this is a field that is growing like topsy in terms of resources! You might find David Rock’s SCARF model interesting http://www.davidrock.net/files/ManagingWBrainInMind.pdf and there is a short self-assessment questionnaire linked to this here http://www.neuroleadership.com/global/product/scarf-self . The other resource that sprang to mind was Seligman’s Learned Optimism. This book contains a questionnaire to help understand levels of optimism/pessimism. There is also a version of the questionnaire here http://www.stanford.edu/class/msande271/onlinetools/LearnedOpt.html. Sorry neither of these is directly linked to Goleman’s primal leadership, but if you want to have a chat about either of them, by all means just drop me a line at jane@learningaliving.co.uk
Thanks
