I am relatively new to the FE sector. I am wondering if someone out there has any ideas as to how i can become involved in the professional life of the college. How can I make the experience of working in a college more rewarding for me.

All i seem to do is prepare and plan for teaching, then teach - I can't seem to become involved in the actual college life - is there a good way to do this.

what professional bodies would be good to join to enable me to obtain a more rounded picture of the fe sector.
