Project management Tuesday tip: Learn how to speak publicly [IMAGE]

default-16x9

Speaking in public is many a person’s phobia, while some people find it easy to take the lead, and are naturally talented at it. Sometimes you hear the question ‘Are we born natural leaders?’. In my opinion it’s a bit of both, you can be a natural at public speaking but there is always room for improvement and building your confidence.

Delivering information to a group is a daily part of a project manager’s role and doing it in an engaging manner sometimes takes practice. Build your confidence by taking a course in public speaking and when you do deliver to a team, get their constructive feedback to help you improve. Persevere until you find a technique that works for you and the people you work with.

Did you always find public speaking easy? How did you build your confidence and technique? Feel free to leave your comments!
