Can anyone recommend a supplier for training around the Protection of Vulnerable Adults? Supplier must be able to deliver in the South East & potentially nationally.

Safeguarding Adults
Lisa
This is now more commonly called Safeguarding Adults as the focus has changed.
I did an update course with Ace Concern recently which was very good and I’m sure they cover the whole country, try http://www.ageconcern.co.uk
or you could try Action on Elder Abuse, http://www.elderabuse.org.uk
Hope these help.

Tread Carefully
Hello Lisa
This is a complex and potentially contentious area of social policy and I would say that it depends on exactly who you are planning to train and what your desired outcomes are.Local Authorities usually have multi-agency agreements on Adult Protection which will cover expectations of staff and care providers -but am not sure of the context for your query. You will find that the Department of Health website has up to date national guidance and any training will need to be aware of the legal implications of ‘adult protection’.Are you looking to train staff? volunteers? people working with a particular client group? are you in the private, voluntary or statutory sector? I might be able to give you more advice if you post more info.
Best wishes,
Liz.
