Raytheon Training LLC has been awarded a further multi-million pound contract by Vauxhall Motors Limited to provide additional Vauxhall Retailer training throughout the United Kingdom.

The contract, which runs through 2006, builds on the existing partnership between Raytheon Training and Vauxhall Motors (established in 1994), whereby Raytheon is responsible for the development, management and delivery of quality and cost-effective training for the entire Vauxhall Retailer network via The Vauxhall College.

"The continuing partnership with Raytheon Training will ensure that our Retailer network continues to receive the very best training in the automobile industry", said Brian Cranny, HR manager for Vauxhall Motors Limited. "This is central to our strategy of Raising the Standard, providing customers with a first-class and seamless experience every time they have contact with any Vauxhall representative. To achieve this, employees will make customer service their number one priority. This training partnership is structured not only to provide managerial and technical skills training, but also to develop individual skills and behaviours necessary for excellence in customer service."

The Vauxhall College offers around 1200 courses to over 17,000 participants each year. Use of this dedicated Retailer training facility has risen rapidly during the last 2 years and represented more than 4600 training days in 1999. Training is delivered using a comprehensive range of methods, including latest training technologies such as computer- and web-based solutions and instructor-based courses.

"I am delighted that we will be strengthening our relationship with Vauxhall Motors Limited in all aspects of Retailer training" said Roger Blomgren, vice president and general manager of Raytheon Training LLC. "It is a reflection of the value provided by the training partnership and a credit to all members of the Raytheon Training team".
