I'm looking to try and introduce coaching as one of the skills our line managers/supervisors have.
Currently our managers are very 'technical' and I'd like them to gain some coaching skills, to adopt a more coaching management style. I'd like the managers to gain more skills in 'skills coaching' and also 'performance coaching'
Anyone with any recommendations of some good courses to attend or external training providers people have used who can provide a service I would be after?
We are a relatively small company with approx 10 managers who would need the training.

Try these guys…
Let me recommend Performance Coaching at http://www.performanceconsultants.co.uk/
This organisation, centred on the likes of John Whitmore (European saloon car champion), Dave Whitaker (Olympic Gold, hockey) and David Hemery (Olympic Gold, 400m) provides an excellent programme that I have used as a training manager within the Siemens UK empire.
They are quite simply excellent.
Try this approach…
Nick,
The advent of training managers to become more consulatative and coaching is an area we are well experienced in. I would be delighted to point you in the right direction, or speak to you how we might help.
Our website http://www.brefigroup.co.uk has a range of free downloads and you may contact me on mskirving@brefigroup.co.uk

Coaching for Managers
I have recently completed rolling out the Peter Honey Coaching for Managers series, which can be purchased from his website http://www.peterhoney.co.uk for around £250. It’s a fully comprehensive series of workshops with full trainers notes, handouts, exercises, OHP’s quotes etc.. to use with groups of 8-10 as an introduction to Coaching in the workplace. You can decide the length of sessions, change the content add to it etc.. My business has received it well and I have now been asked to roll it out company wide.
If you’d like any help or support with sourcing further material, exercises, content please get in touch.
Good luck!!
We can help
Hi Nick,
I come to this posting quite late and you may have sourced some help, but we have an open and in-house programme that would fit the bill and we also do a lot of work with SMEs.
Happy to discuss
Coaching as a Management Style
Go to Performance Consultants – have John Whitmore – but start from the top at Board Level and have a whole company ethos change – so that everyone “walks the coaching talk” not just your first line managers!
Coaching for Managers
Nick I’d be happy to discuss supplying you with some training for your group.
