Research/experience of mentoring in a multi cultural environment

default-16x9

I am currently writing my dissertation on the effects that culture can have on mentoring schemes, and would therefore like to find someone with experience of mentoring in a multi cultural environemnt. I am also considering linking the idea of labour turnover with mentoring: how a mentoring scheme could encourage employee retention.

Any information regarding these matters would be very much appreciated, whether it be a report, previous research or personal experience. The full title of my dissertation is as follows:

How can a well managed mentoring scheme help to create a better understanding of difference in a multi cultural environment, and how can this affect the labour turnover?

  1. mentoring in diffferent cultures
I had some experience introducing the concept of mentoring in a Europe-wide pharmaceutical company. Big differences, related to national culture, of the role of a mentor. Let me know if I can help at all. It was about four years ago.

  2. Interested in your findings
Sorry for butting in on your question, but I am presently and very recently involved in a new mentoring initiative within my own organisation. I will be very interested in your findings and will also strive to inform you of our decided pathway.
