Resource management software?

default-16x9

Hi, I'm looking for software that would support/streamline our processes in terms of processing applications for training, room booking, allocation of trainers to courses etc. Does anyone use software of that nature?

  1. Hello – have you considered

Hello – have you considered training administration software?  Resource management should be a component of training management software.  Often these packages provide a way for you to define a resource type (e.g. a room, or building, or some kind of equipment you may need) and assign instructors and other materials as needed.

My company makes Administrate, which is includes CRM, event management, resource management, and a lot more (including eLearning and course booking through your website if that's of interest).  I know it sounds like a lot, but it's designed to be affordable for smaller organisations, and grows with you to the point where we have many Fortune 500 companies using it to manage their global training departments.

Check it out, you can signup for a free trial if you'd like!

  2. One other thing I should

One other thing I should mention – if you've got a very involved application process (maybe you're an NVQ provider or need to detail some kind of very involved application for funding?) you can expect this to be difficult in classic software packages.  This is where a training administration product should really shine.  I'd look for the product to let you flexibly define your workflow, group that workflow into stages that can be easily reported on, and require certain information (again, defined by you) to be required before moving to a future step of the process.  Even if you don't have this kind of process defined today, you may want to consider it to help bring clarity to your new student onboarding process.
