Hi All,
I currently work for one of the largest UK Fund Platforms in the UK. Like many other Financial Services organisations, we are going through the process of implementing RDR.
I was wondering if anyone had any RDR Generic information. I would like to provide staff with a nice, industry wide overview, then drill down into the specific detail required to link it back to how some of their 'day to day' roles may change / adapt.
I have been so close to this topic, that I am finding it harder now to see the difference between what we are doing for RDR and taking the opportunity to enhance certain processes / technology whilst we are already in a phase of enhancement due to RDR....if that makes sense!? :-)
I really appreciate any input you have.
Kindest regards
Ryan

RDR
Hi Ryan,
I dont work in the financial services industry but have worked with a one of the top 3 banks and a pensions authority faced with RDR. My role has been providing guidelines for organisations on ethical governance and also conducting training needs analysis and aligning performance management and succession processes. I guess its easier for a third party to work specifically from FSA guidelines and criteria and not get bogged down in woods for trees. (FSA Guidelijnes http://www.fsa.gov.uk/about/what/rdr)
Perhaps finding a mentor /coach may help you to focus on what is required rather than turn the requirement into a complete business transformation piece that leaves people frightened to death of the review.

Hi,
I am a financial services trainer and compliance consultant currently advising firms re RDR implications (of which there are very many more than first meets the eye) from passing diploma level exams to business modelling and processes. There is a whole heap of stuff available – too much to list here so feel free to call me and I will point you in the right direction. Terry Bateman 07901 854217
